Talladega, Ala. – The Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) annual Talladega D-Day Matches returned June 9 through June 13, 2021, with over 250 individual rifle and pistol match registrations through the course of the week. Time is running out! The Civilian Marksmanship Program will continue to accept applications from student-athletes for the annual CMP Carolyn Hines Memorial $1,000 to $5,000 scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year until March 20, 2021. The scholarships are open to high school seniors who display involvement in a mix of academics, extra-curricular and marksmanship activities. Those who have earned designated classification status within Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) competitions will soon have proof of their achievements, with specially designed carrying cards set for distribution. The cards will display the individual’s name, CMP Competition Number and all classification ranks (Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert, Master and High Master), as well as the date each classification was reached and average score.
