HIT THE MARK AT THE CMP!
More than a job. It’s a mission.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is a federally-chartered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to training and educating U.S. citizens in responsible uses of firearms through safety, training and competition.
For nearly 30 years, the CMP has gained attention nationwide as a leader in marksmanship opportunities, especially for youth, while honoring its legacy through vintage firearm sales. Proceeds from those sales directly fund all that we do.
The CMP is the bridge between the past and the future of the sport, with several programs that appeal to collectors and competitors alike.
While with the CMP, you’ll not only be a part of history, you’ll help shape it.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE: EVERYONE
One of the most incredible aspects of marksmanship is its diversity.
Old, young, novice, expert: no matter your background, there’s a spot for you at the CMP.
COME FOR THE FUN, STAY FOR THE PERKS.

WHAT ARE WE LIKE?
The culture of the CMP:
- We encourage each individual in their talents but know nothing can be accomplished without teamwork.
- With programs spread across the country, collaboration and communication is key.
- We work several weekends throughout the year but get to watch unique, exciting competitions.
- See youth grow their skills into adulthood and witness the next Olympians blaze their trails to the world stage.
- The success of every piece of our organization is vital for the success of the future of marksmanship.
- Our talented armorers build the heart of our sales program, which fuels our ability to provide education and competition.
BE PART OF A TEAM

Our staff is a mix of seasoned marksmanship professionals (including former NCAA collegiate athletes, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit alumni and current national-record holders), along with experienced armorers and those with a deep appreciation for the sport.
Outside of the fun focus of the company, there’s a reason many of our staff members have been with us for decades. It’s the culture.
