TALLADEGA, Ala. – On March 11-12, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) hosted its second 3D Archery Match of the year at Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama. A total of 10 individuals participated in the event. The Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) National Long Range series will again be fired July 31 through Aug. 5, 2023, highlighted by a new event. For the first time, 2023’s schedule will include a Mid-Range 3×600 Match – 20 shots slow prone at 600 yards in 22-minute block times. The Rimfire Match offers shooters a recreation-oriented competition where they use smallbore sporter rifles (plinking and small game rifles) commonly owned by almost all gun enthusiasts.
