The Winnebago Shooting Sports 4-H Club is a CMP affiliated 4-H club in Illinois with a lot going on this year.
- Its first meeting of the Spring 2016 season had eight returning youth and 10 new youth! The club is fortunate to have a large number of adult volunteers, which allows a great deal of one-on-one coaching. Northern Illinois Rifle and Pistol Club supports the club by allowing the 4-H group to use their range, free of charge.
- One of the club members attended the Speaking for Illinois 4-H Legislative Connection event at the Illinois capitol and shared his 4-H shooting sports experiences with senators and representatives from Illinois during a session of the Illinois General Assembly.

- Some of the club’s instructors and youth members also helped host a shooting event for a local Future Farmers of America youth group. It included one classroom session on firearm safety and a day at the range. This introduced shooting sports to eight new youth, ages 9 to 17.Way to go, Winnebago Shooting Sports 4-H Club!
