Nicely done overview of the GSM. Short, well covered, and interesting. For 47yrs. I have taught NRA-Based Basic, and various Advanced Courses for (5) Disciplines. I was also a Competitor for some 26yrs. in both N.M. Bulls-eye Pistol, and H.P. Service Rifle both: In the “Military and Civilian life”. Prior to retiring I had my own brick & mortar store for (16yrs.) with Retail Sales, Indoor Range, NRA-Based training with top shelf Classroom facilities, and I Gunsmithed for some 30yrs.. However, my teaching and “spurs” are now recently hung up as I approach 70yrs. of age and just can not DO what I used to… due to some medical related issues just walking is becoming tough. So my heart is still “in it”, but other things are getting in the way. So nice JOB on the information for the GSM Training. While on the Military Teams, I was issued complete SETS of Military Accurized .22/.38./45 Armorer-upgraded handguns (N.M. Pistols), and for Rifle I had an AFPGNM M1 Garand I kept with me for over two years and it became a personal part of me. I cried a lot when I had to surrender that Rifle prior to leaving for Viet Nam. But over the years I’ve now had other M1 Garand’s, but none as good as my original. I’ve also become “very fond” of the N.M M1A (M14 type) in more recent years, and have Competed with Match Grade AR15 (et al) types prior to halting my competitive shooting sports. Although nearly all competitors currently utilize the AR types, my personal memories lead me to the old Garand’s – their accuracy at 600 & 1000 was/is always outstanding! I still try to help the younger folks when possible. WMB.
