Since the beginning, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has welcomed clubs from around the country to join in the effort of spreading marksmanship competition and safety. With the CMP celebrating its 24th anniversary in 2020, the organization has decided to recognize those Affiliated Clubs that have upheld two decades or more of dependable support, claiming a spot on the 20 Year Affiliated Club list.
Over 5,000 Affiliated Clubs have hosted events, matches and clinics over the years – stretching to all corners of the continental U.S. and even beyond into Alaska and Hawaii. Of those, nearly 230 will be awarded with the 20 Year Affiliated Club banner to place at their home ranges, with close to 80 more set to celebrate their second decade next year.
The CMP also celebrates the affiliation of 10 Year Clubs, which is approaching a total of 900 in 2020.
With the participation of active member clubs, the CMP can extend the outreach of its mission “to promote firearm safety and marksmanship training with an emphasis on youth” and its vision “that every youth in America has the opportunity to participate in firearm safety and marksmanship programs.”
The CMP holds in high regard the cooperation of Affiliated Clubs over the past decades and is truly grateful for their participation into the future as the community of advocates work together to expand marksmanship opportunities for generations to come.

Marksmanship Destinations for CMP Clubs and Individuals:
The CMP has worked hard to grow its own footprint in the United States over the last two decades, with state-of-the-art indoor stationary air gun ranges at Camp Perry (Ohio) and Anniston (Alabama) and a Mobile Air Gun Range that has the ability to travel to all corners of the nation. The Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama, which features electronic targets, covered firing points, a remarkable clubhouse, on-site store, its own highpower range, several pistol bays, smallbore and shotgun ranges, has added highpower and pistol opportunities to CMP’s arsenal, along with the electronic targets of Petrarca Range at Camp Perry.
Each range hosts a variety of events and opportunities for the public – including those familiar with the sport and those looking to try something they never have before.
