On my way home from school last year I picked up my first M1 Garand from the South Store, the people were very friendly and I bought a CMP Special. I stopped by my grandfather’s (he is 93) house and showed him the M1, his face lite up and he said, “yeah I remember these, it is a little heavier than I remember though.”
