I received my M1 Garand today from the CMP. I am a happy camper. This brings back so many memories of the time I spent at the Naval Training Center San Diego, California. I have wanted a M1 from those days fifty four years ago. The battle between my sons has already started concerning who is going to inherit it when my time on earth is finished. Maybe I will fool them and give it to my grandson who was in the Marine Corps.
I see from the paper work Armour Number 11 assembled and prepared this rifle. Will you please convey my heartfelt thanks for selecting such a wonderful piece of history that is now a permanent part of my collection.
