I have received my M1911A1 after applying 3 years earlier and am thrilled and could not be happier. After my notification I made a few calls to CMP Customer Service to ensure all was in order and I would actually obtain this iconic pistol.

I had given up on actually being selected to receive one of these pistols and was shocked to find that I could obtain a Service grade pistol. The firearm is quite simply magnificent.

All your people there could not have been more courteous and accommodating and I want to compliment the CMP organization and its support staff for making this event memorable and momentous. Please convey my thanks to all.
