I have purchased an Expert Grade and a Service Grade M1. All I can say is these rifles are stunning in every aspect. I just ordered another Service Grade because the one I received was pristine, (in my eyes). I’m retired Military and when I went to boot camp, we marched and carried the M1 nearly everywhere. I qualified on the M1 and the 1911. I fell in love with the rifle over 40 years ago.
CMP, the staff and the all the people behind the scenes who make this happen/possible need to be commended for their OUTSTANDING work and making the ability for us civilians now to enjoy such a piece of history, it is priceless! If you are considering an M1 Garand, get one, you will never be disappointed. Mine will go on for generations, I’m proud of that! The men who carried these rifles literally saved the world! Thank you CMP!
