Civilian Marksmanship Program▸Sales▸Whoever Dakota Wiseman reports to needs to know what an outstanding customer rep. he is. I know most people only take time to send in a complaint, and I do have one of those, but not with Mr. Wiseman. He was informative, and exhibited a genuine concern for customers. His advice, I believe, greatly facilitated my last request for a “Rack” grade being delivered in an authentic form. I was reluctant to order another Rack because one I received had a non-original stock.
I have some rack grade Garands that the wood on all 3 pieces do not match, but they are real. This lower/rear stock on #5736761 was not. It seemed to be made in a jr.high woodshop. I sent photos, in case y’all don’t have one on file.
As I stated to Mr. Wiseman, I am not asking for a refund or replacement, I fully understood “as-is” and no refunds. However, I believe this stock is not in keeping with the Garand program you have, fitting a Garand collection, nor is representative of the great machines they are. I have shown other Garand collectors and they agree that ought not have been put on a significant piece of American history. Perhaps if there are stocks like this, they ought to be kept in house for other use, but not shipped out even if it was on a “Rack” graded rifle.
The stocks on the Expert I acquired are fabulous. Not original, but, they sure look good on the rifle, as if they were made for it. Beautiful work.
Again, I’m not angry nor asking for anything other than considering this matter for the integrity of your program and the image for the Garand rifles you would want to set forth.
Thanks for your time, and for outstanding members of your team like Dakota Wiseman.
