I want to thank the CMP and the volunteers who supported the Eastern Games at Butner this year. I shot the pistol matches. I saw that the support staff was passionate in supporting the program and the shooters. I observed professionalism when a staff member felt that they may have offended a competitor by offering a sincere apology. That meant a lot to me to observe that behavior as the person receiving the apology is my son-in-law and this was his first CMP competition.

I was impressed with Christie making things right when the scores were not all accounted for the 1911 As Issued Match and the plaque was given to the incorrect competitor. My colleagues contacted Christie and she ensured that all scores were accounted for and that the plaque was awarded appropriately. I was the recipient and because of her efforts I stayed for the awards ceremony so her efforts were not in vain.

Thank you for supporting the sport with passion. Thank you for expanding your recognition of shooters in the awards ceremonies. Even us little shooters to get the achievement medals in a ceremony is a big morale booster.
