3D Archery Range
The CMP Archery Range at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park is located on the shotgun side of the grounds and outfitted with 20 lanes of life-size 3D targets, specially painted to look like live animals in their natural habitat. The foam Delta-McKenzie targets (typically used on the competition trail) are designed to fit along pathways tucked between the trees of Talladega’s terrain and can be arranged from 15 to 50 yards. A 30×60-yard practice range with a berm was also constructed.
The CMP offers a Basic Archery Course which is open to new and experienced competitors.
The current fee to use the range is $12.50 per person. Our minimal age for the Archery Range is 6 years of age. Guests wishing to use the range must first watch a safety video developed specifically for archery, even if they’ve shot on the other ranges within Talladega Marksmanship Park in the past, and receive an archery safety card. Individuals who wish to also visit CMP’s rifle, pistol or shotgun ranges must watch Talladega’s original, separate safety video.
The Archery Range is open during current park hours and will be open year round.

Wednesday and Thursday: 11:00am-5:00pm
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am-5:00pm

Talladega’s Monthly 3D Archery Tournaments
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is excited to announce the addition of Monthly 3D Archery Tournaments, held at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama. The events are open to the public, with both new and experienced individuals welcome to compete. Register at the Talladega Club House when you arrive at the range. We hope you will join us!

The CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park is excited to share our love of Marksmanship to the Archery Community. We are making changes for the growth of Archery here at the Park and with the help of the shooters who share ideas with us, it will continue to grow. Growth such as dropping our minimal age from 10 years of age to 6 years of age on the Archery Range was one of the first changes made. We have also started making the necessary moves to join ASA- Archery Shooters Association so we will be able to host ASA Qualifiers and other larger events as requested. We Thank You for your support and look forward to seeing you soon at one of our Monthly 3D Archery Tournaments or one of the many events held daily here at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park.
