Just wanted to thank the CMP for a great looking Springfield Service Grade M1 I just received. though the wait was 100 days from the time I placed my order, it was well worth the wait. This M1, a Nov. 1944 manufactured rifle that went to Denmark, has a beautiful VAR barrel and all other parts are SA. Though the stock and rear site are Korean war vintage I couldn’t be more pleased. Never thought I would be able to get a WW 2 M1 in such nice shape for such a great price. This M1 is nicer than the ones I have purchased from the North Store over the last two years. Anyone who hesitates buying an M1 through mail order should reconsider, the quality of rifles I have ordered through the mail have exceeded what I have been able to find in the North Store.
