Civilian Marksmanship Program▸General▸

Just wanted the CMP crew to know how much I appreciate the dedication and skill of everyone involved with your program.

I received my M1 Garand last week and finally got a chance to send some rounds down range over the weekend.  My rifle performed flawlessly and seemed to beg for more ammo!  The fit and finish of my rifle was excellent; beautiful wood and metal finish.

This is my first Garand chambered in 7.62 NATO and my first rifle purchased through the CMP.  As I wanted something different, this rifle certainly fit the bill. 

Because of people like you and organizations like the CMP the heritage of classic American firearms will live on for generations.  Thank you all for your hard work dedication and craftsmanship.  There’s a lot of truth in “America the free because of the brave”.  The M1 Garand had a lot to do with that and nobody can contest that!
