How do I change cadets?

There is a change of shooter form found on our website at: https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/CadetChanges.pdf   If you are mailing your targets, you should include a copy of this with the targets.  If you are sending your targets in electronically, you can email a copy of the form to postals@thecmp.org.

How do I change the class of a cadet?

There is a change of class form found on our website at:  https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/CadetChanges.pdf  (below the change of shooter information).   If you are mailing your targets, you should include a copy of this with the targets.  If you are sending your targets in electronically, you can email a copy of the form to postals@thecmp.org.

How do I send in targets through Orion?

JROTC Units that have access to the Orion Scoring System may send their targets to CMP electronically, and do not need to mail targets.  To send targets to CMP, Orion users must do the following.

  • Update Orion to version with Cloud Backup
    • To check if you have an updated license, click on Tools -> Cloud Backup Status. If it says provides a count of the number of files waiting to be backed up, you have the updated license. If it says “AccessDenied” your license needs to be updated.
  • Include the name of the school, and “JROTC Postal” in the match name.
  • Score targets.
  • Go to Match -> Export Results ->Share Match Directory -> with Civilian Marksmanship Program
  • Click “Yes” to send all match files and Target Images
  • The process will take a few minutes. A green status bar will appear indicating the progress. Keep Orion open until you receive the confirmation message.
  • Visit https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/JROTCUnitFiringReport.pdf to submit form electronically or email a scanned copy to postals@thecmp.org.
