  • Talladega's April 1000 Aggregate

    The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Talladega Marksmanship Park invites you to participate in its 1000 Aggregate Match on Saturday, 28 April 2018.  This match is open to the public; new or experience shooters are welcome.

     

    Competition course is 100 total record shots:

    20 shots at 200 yards standing in 20 minutes

    20 shots at 200 yards sitting rapid fire in 60 seconds

    20 shots at 300 yards prone rapid fire in 70 seconds

    20 shots at 600 yards prone slow fire in 20 minutes

    20 shots at 600 yards prone slow fire in 20 minutes

    There will be two sighters at every stage

     

    Entry fee is $50 for open competitors and $30 for junior competitors.

  • Brock's Gap Training Center 2018 GSM Clinic with Garand/Springfi

    The John C. Garand Match is the CMP's most popular CMP Games event held during the National Matches. The course of fire is 25 shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone; 10 shots rapid-fire sitting; 10 shots slow fire standing. All shot from 200 yards.

    The Springfield match is one of the CMP's most popular events. All competitors use a M1903 Springfiled. The course of fire is 25 shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone; 10 shots rapid-fire sitting; 10 shots slow fire standing. All shot from 200 yards.

    A CMP-sanctioned clinic taught by a CMP Master Instructor is an event hosted or sponsored by a CMP affiliated organization where match sponsors agree to use CMP Competition Rules and CMP standards for the conduct of clinics. CMP-Sanctioned Clinics may be offered for M1 Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military, Rimfire Sporter, M1 Carbine, Unlimited Garand or Modern Military. For all sanctioned clinics that are taught by certified Master Instructors, the CMP also provides CMP Rifle Clinic Student Guides that can be used as a student text.

  • Linwood Bay Sportsman Club 2018 Rimfire Sporter Match

    The Rimfire Sporter Match is for smallbore rifles that weigh 7 1/2 pounds or less with sights. O-Class rifles have open sights; T-Class rifles have telescopes (max. 6X) or receiver sights. Firing is done at 50 and 25 yards in prone, sitting and standing positions, in slow and rapid fire modes.

    80 shot Rifle: Competitors fire a service rifle, as defined by the CMP Competition Rules matches, over the highpower rifle National Match Course of fire: 20 shots standing slow-fire, 200 yards; 20 shots rapid-fire sitting, 200 yards; 20 shots rapid-fire prone, 300 yards; 20 shots slow-fire prone, 600 yards.
