    The John C. Garand Match is the CMP's most popular CMP Games event held during the National Matches. The course of fire is 25 shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone; 10 shots rapid-fire sitting; 10 shots slow fire standing. All shot from 200 yards.

  • Michigan State University Demmer Center 2017 Rimfire Sporter Mat

    Lansing, MI

    The Rimfire Sporter Match is for smallbore rifles that weigh 7 1/2 pounds or less with sights. O-Class rifles have open sights; T-Class rifles have telescopes (max. 6X) or receiver sights. Firing is done at 50 and 25 yards in prone, sitting and standing positions, in slow and rapid fire modes.

    PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTRATION

    The 2016 CMP Advanced Maintenance Class will be held at the CMP Custom Shop in Anniston, Alabama. There will be a total of 9 classes reserved for individual participants in 2016.  Each class will be a three day even, limited to 20 students.  This course involves classroom lecture and hands-on shop time.  All required tools are provided.  Included in the overall course fee of $1830.00, Participants will assemble and purchase a CMP Special (RM1Special) Rifle.

    Participants MUST register via the CMP Competition Tracker system between November 20 and November 27.  Registrants will become part of an electronic lottery used to randomly assign the 20 available seats for each class date.  An additional 20 participants will be assigned to a stand by list for each date.  Registration for multiple classes is permitted, but NO applicant will be selected for more than one slot .  NO FORMER AMC PARTICIPANTS MAY REGISTER FOR 2016.

    A confirmation email will be sent to each accepted participant, including a link to a fillable form.  This form is required to be completed for the registration process.   NO EMAIL will be sent to students who are not selected for either a class or waitlist.  This form is to be completed and submitted electronically by January, 31 2016. Failure to meet this deadline will result in forfeiture of your slot to the next applicant on a wait list.
