CMP Partners with Veterans Family Brigade, ACME Rifles for 2026 National Matches Junior Clinic

CAMP PERRY, Ohio – The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is excited to again team up with Veteran’s Family Brigade to conduct the 2026 Junior Highpower Rifle Clinic – a popular and valuable opportunity conducted during the National Matches each year.
The CMP Junior Highpower Clinic, sponsored by ACME Rifles, will be held July 25-26 on the famous Camp Perry grounds – home to the National Matches since 1907. The clinic offers advanced instruction in service rifle competition techniques through classroom demonstrations and live-fire training on the range.
“This is an amazing opportunity for juniors to get one-on-one instruction from National Champion-level competitors,” said Brian Williams, CMP Highpower Manager.
New for 2026, the course will include a reloading clinic, hosted by Hodgdon Powder/RCBS.
“We’re excited to bring on these trusted organizations to give coaches and parents the opportunity to talk to reloading experts about acquiring ammo for their junior,” Williams added. “It’s an invaluable opportunity that we hope our community will enjoy.”
The Veteran’s Family Brigade is a team of elite, retired military marksmen and women – many of whom are previous national champions and world-class athletes. Along with competing themselves at national-level events throughout the year, the Brigade gives back to communities by providing clinics to interested individuals of all ages across the country.
Members leading this year’s Junior Clinic include legendary champions such as Julia Watson-Carlson, Jon Arcularius, Dan Duitsman, Dwayne Lewis and Jonathan O’Neal, as well as past U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) member and history-making rifleman, Brandon Green.
Green is widely known as one of the best shots of the modern era. With the USAMU, he was part of multiple record-setting teams in both service rifle and long-range rifle and served as Team Chief until 2022.
As an individual, the 2018 National Matches saw Green not only overtake the prestigious President’s 100 Match for the very first time in his career but achieving the win with a perfect score of 400-20x – something no other person has accomplished since the match began in 1894. In 2025, at England’s historic Bisley Camp as part of the National Rifle Association of the United Kingdom’s Imperial Meeting, Green became the only American to ever win the Kings Prize in the event’s 156-year existence.
Outside of competing, Green spends his time training others in their own individual skills and is especially dedicated to working with the next generation of marksmen and women.
