Civilian Marksmanship Program▸The First Shot▸CMP Announces Additional Camp Perry Long-Range Matches for 2026CAMP PERRY, Ohio – For those wanting another chance to take the firing line before the year ends, the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has two remaining days of long-range rifle events left on the schedule at one of the nation’s most iconic ranges.
These 1,000-yard matches will be held Sept. 12-13 at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, home to the annual National Matches since 1907, and are open to adults and juniors of all experience levels.

The course of fire will be 20 record shots in 30 minutes for Match Rifle, Service Rifle, Palma Rifle, AR Tactical, F-Open, F-T/R or F-Practical.
Match fees include:
- Day One $55 Adult, $45 Junior
- Day Two $55 Adult, $45 Junior
- Two-Day Package $95 Adult, $85 Junior
The September Long-Range matches will be held in conjunction with the Ohio Rifle & Pistol Association’s Ohio Long-Range State Championship, with all matches fired on CMP’s line of outdoor Kongsberg Target System (KTS) electronic targets!

Remaining Long-Range Matches for 2026: Outside of Ohio, CMP’s New England Games in Jericho, Vt., will include a Mid-Range 3×600 on Sept. 23, featuring the same rifle classes as the Long-Range events. Likewise, the CMP Western Games in Phoenix, Ariz., will offer its own lineup of Mid-Range and Long-Range matches, Oct. 13-14.
