Civilian Marksmanship Program▸Just Plain Delighted

I ordered an M1 Garand back in December of 2012 and had it in my greedy, grubby little paws almost EXACTLY 30 days later!!! I know how swamped with orders you were at that time so I want to extend my heartfelt THANK YOU for seeing to my order so quickly!!

The firearm was in excellent overall condition, with the only thing “different” was the oily texture which, oddly, helps prevent hand slippage. All the metal pieces seem to be of new or very nearly new condition. I was as happy as a kid heading to Santa’s workshop when I went to pick it up and have been giddy as a school child ever since. I am just plain delighted with my purchase.

Just recently I got to shoot the beauty at an indoor range (only 30 yards or so) and it shot very very well (I am the weak link in accuracy department, for certain!). After four clips into two ovals, I adjusted for elevation (Windage? WHAT windage??) and started putting rounds through the same hole. Remember, it was at only 30 yards, now. I didn’t experience any “fliers” using the ammo I purchased from CMP, so I am very happy with that purchase.
