Functioned Flawlessly

Civilian Marksmanship Program▸Sales▸Functioned FlawlesslyDear Friends, I received a beautiful M-1 born In January of 1944 from you a couple days ago. After spending some time cleaning it inside and out I discovered it has what I believe is a gorgeous American Black Walnut stock. I lubed the action with Heavy Duty NLGI # 2 Synthetic Polymeric Extreme Pressure Grease, (highly resistant to pound out from shock loads) After looking at my new “toy” for a day or two I decided to test fire it in cold weather to see how the synthetic grease would work. It warmed to -6 degrees Fahrenheit today so I thought today would be a good day for the test. I live in a very rural area so not worried about any one seeing my rifle outside, I left it out for 2 1/2 hours along with some ammo I purchased from CMP (AE3006M1). I plowed the snow out from my rifle range a few days ago so I set a target up at 25 YDS and shot at it. I am delighted to say the rifle functioned flawlessly! I couldn’t be happier with it, and grouped very well in my opinion. I will be leaving it out for a longer period of time to see if still functions as well. I will have to adjust the sights some but think I will wait for warmer weather. Thanks for a great rifle!
