Civilian Marksmanship Program▸The First Shot▸Register Now: CMP’s 2026 Western CMP Games Rifle/Pistol Matches in Phoenix!PHOENIX, Ariz. – Registration is now open for the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) 2026 Western CMP Games!
Set at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Arizona, Oct. 9-18, the annual Western Games brings together a full slate of outdoor rifle and pistol competitions, instruction and camaraderie for adults and juniors of all experience levels.

The 2026 schedule includes:
CMP Western Games Pistol Matches:
- Pistol Marksmanship 101/M9 Match
- CMP Match Pistol 2700
- CMP .22 Rimfire Pistol EIC
- CMP EIC Service Pistol
- CMP Service Revolver EIC
- CMP 1911 As-Issued Pistol
- Military & Police Service Pistol

CMP Western Games Rifle Matches:
- Rifle Marksmanship 101/M16 Match
- Garand, Springfield, Vintage & Modern Military Matches
- Carbine Match
- Vintage Sniper Team Match
- Rimfire Sporter Rifle
CMP Highpower Rifle Matches:
- CMP Mid-Range 3×600 2-Man Team Match
- CMP 800 Aggregate Matches
- CMP Service Rifle EIC

Competitors firing in rifle events will be able to experience CMP’s Kongsberg Electronic Targets (KTS), which feature instant shot location on monitors located next to each firing point! No pit duty required, meaning faster match completion and less physical ware on each participant.
The CMP is also proud to offer Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship 101 Courses at Western Games, designed for a wide range of experience levels. These courses focus on firearm and competition fundamentals, led by experienced military and civilian instructors. All equipment provided by the CMP!

Additionally, CMP Sales will be on site with memorabilia available for purchase.
