Located in Alabama, Talladega Marksmanship Park has been CMP’s premier “Home of Marksmanship” for the last decade. With 500 acres of public outdoor space facilitating rifle, pistol, archery, shotgun and even an unknown distance range, the park is designed for those experienced within the sport as well as individuals exploring marksmanship for the first time.
Likewise, Talladega’s monthly events are open to adults and juniors of all experience levels – challenging enough for seasoned competitors while offering a safe, welcoming approach to those just beginning.

Talladega Monthly Matches include:
- Mid-Range 3×600 – Match, Service, Palma, F-Open, F T/R, F-Practical, AR Tactical Rifles
- Three strings of 20 record shots at 600 yards
- Fired on electronic targets!
- New for 2026: The two sighters on stages 2 and 3 are convertible.

- Bring What You Got – .22LR ammo, no limit in rifle/trigger weight, sporter-type stock (no precision chassis or butt plates)
- 40 shots for record in 30 minutes at 100 yards
- No specialized gear (jackets, gloves, etc.)
- Optics allowed but may not be higher than 10x
- Winner earns a free rifle day pass at Talladega!

- Carbine Matches – M1 Carbine Rifles
- 40 shots at 100 yards

- GSMM – M1 Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military, Modern Military Rifles
- Firing at 200 yards: 15 shots slow-fire prone, 10 shots rapid-fire prong, 10 shots slow-fire standing

- Rimfire Sporter – .22 Caliber Smallbore rifles
- O-Class (open sights), T-Class (telescopic), TU-Class (tactical-unlimited)
- Slow and rapid firing at 50 and 25 yards in prone, sitting and standing positions
- Held on electronic targets!
- Vintage Military Rifle Benchrest – M1 Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military, Vintage Sniper Rifles
- O-Class (open sights) and T-Class (telescopic)
- 30 record shots at 300 yards in 30 minutes
- Must use a fixed benchrest position with a maximum of two sandbag supports

Guests to Talladega’s Monthly Matches will be able to enjoy CMP’s line of outdoor eTargets, powered by Kongsberg Target Systems (KTS) technology. The system includes personal tablets at each firing point that allow users to change yard lines with the push of a button while instantly displaying shot placement in real-time – all without ever having to leave the comfort of the covered firing line.
Talladega Marksmanship Park is open daily, all year long, and hosts local, regional and national competitions along with safety and fundamental courses for individuals eager to learn more about firearms.

Outside of competition and inside Talladega’s 13,000-square-foot Club House, visitors may browse the facility’s Pro Shop featuring equipment essentials, memorabilia, on-site commercial firearm sales and vintage rifle sales.
