CAMP PERRY, Ohio – Peter Fiori, 25, of Lebanon, NJ, topped the podium as this year’s National Matches Three-Position (3P) Smallbore & Air Rifle Aggregate Champion.
The event, which saw a significant increase in participation in 2025, was held during the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) National Smallbore Matches at Camp Perry. The series featured a lineup of three-position smallbore competition for adults and juniors along with an accompanying 60-shot air rifle match. Those who competed in both were automatically entered into the combined aggregate.

Fiori (an alumnus of the Air Force Academy and Alaska Fairbanks rifle teams and a current member of the U.S. National Team) started off by overtaking the 3P match with a score of 1178-63X. He finished eight points over second place competitor, SPC Jared Eddy, 24, of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU), and third place competitor SGT Ivan Roe, 29, also of the USAMU.
Leading the junior portion of the event was Griffin Lake, 20, of Emmaus, PA, with a score of 1167-56X. Finding second was Bremen Butler, 20, of Fort Wayne, IN, with 1153-43X, while Ashlyn Blake, 19, of Sparta, NJ, landed in third.

Though Eddy and Roe fell just short of the top spot, they joined teammates SSG Maddalena and SGT Levi Clark to earn the overall team win, with a score of 4675-232X.
In Air Rifle, Fiori finished within the top eight competitors during qualification – securing him a spot in the elimination final to determine an overall winner. Through a tough match, he made it to the fourth place spot before falling to the top three: SGT Alison Weisz, 30, (USAMU), SSG Brandon Muske, 31, (USAMU), and Ceclia Ossi.

Ossi, 23, of Annandale, NJ, is a past National Matches 3P/Smallbore Aggregate champion herself (back in 2023). This past year, she was a member of the Alaska Fairbanks rifle team as a fifth-year graduate student and went on to become the 2025 NCAA Individual Smallbore National Champion. She also added a USA Shooting National Championship title in air rifle to her list of accomplishments – so, she knows a thing or two about high-pressure competition.
“I think that all the training that I do with my team and everything, coming out of NCAAs – all the finals training we do – it all goes into it,” she said. “Historically, smallbore has been my strong suit . . . But I always enjoy shooting at Camp Perry.”

After the individual competition, Ossi and Fiori joined forces, along with Elijah Spencer, to take gold in the three-member Air Rifle Elimination Team Match.
USAMU White (Weisz, Roe and SSG Timothy Sherry) led the three-member Smallbore Elimination Team Match.
