Civilian Marksmanship Program▸The First Shot▸CMP Hosts Fall Open House at Indoor Marksmanship Facility, with Free AdmissionCAMP PERRY, Ohio – The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) welcomes you to tour our indoor facility, the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center!
The building is located on the grounds of the Camp Perry National Guard Training Site in Port Clinton. During the Open House on Thursday, October 16, stop in from 4 to 7 p.m. to browse the facility’s retail store, classroom, common area, Laser Shot simulators and 80-point indoor electronic target range for air rifle and air pistol.
Entry is completely free! All ages welcome, though juniors must be at least 10 years old to use the air guns within the range.

No need to register – simply arrive during the allotted time to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, door prizes and other activities as you get to know the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center (GACCC). All equipment, including for those needing extra support within the range, will be provided by the CMP. If you’re new to the sport, our trained staff members will be on hand to ensure safety and to answer your questions!
Outside of the Open House, the Competition Center is open weekly to the public. Bring your own qualified air rifle or air pistol or use one of ours! Air guns are a safe, effective introduction to marksmanship – with no kickback and little noise as they propel lead pellets downrange (as the name suggests) through the power of air.
The Megalink electronic targets within the range instantly display shot placement on LED monitors, making air gun a convenient and easy activity for individuals of all experience levels.

Try it with friends for a fun, unique night out or hone your skills toward competitive success, an NCAA scholarship or even a spot at the Olympic Games through the sport of marksmanship.
The building is also filled with real memorabilia from the career of two-time gold medalist, Gary Anderson, including Olympic relics, a piece of the Berlin Wall and more.
