The auction is hosted by the CMP to raise funds toward a U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) Exhibit at the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, Ga. – in the hopes of contributing to the preservation and legacy of U.S. military marksmanship programs and ensuring future generations learn the significance these units have played in national defense and marksmanship excellence.
The auctioned M1D Garand includes all original GI parts such as the original cheek pad and M84 scope, making this a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to acquire a historically significant firearm while supporting a meaningful cause. The minimum starting bid will begin at $1,000.
