Civilian Marksmanship Program▸The First Shot▸Become Part of CMP’s Growing Network of Affiliated ClubsBy Ashley Dugan, CMP Staff Writer
The CMP upholds an Affiliated Club program that provides special benefits to those involved.
For just $35 a year, CMP Affiliated Clubs and its members are able to gain a variety of advantages, including special access to training, facilities, equipment and competitions. Clubs are also eligible to receive valuable marksmanship grants and access to sales events. As a growing community, CMP Affiliated Clubs are the best way to stay connected to the CMP and other marksmanship entities, with access to a faction of knowledgeable marksmen and women from various backgrounds.
In sales, Affiliated Clubs receive a discounted price on certain firearms, like Savage .22 rifles. The CMP is also contracted with Daisy and Walther, offering each company’s line of quality air rifles, and, as of November 2023, Crosman Challenger (CH2021S) air rifles. Additionally, the CMP offers a target sales program for air rifle and smallbore targets.
For fundraising purposes, State Associations within the Affiliated Club program are able to hold a raffle once a year for an M1 Garand rifle (purchasing an M1 Field Grade from the CMP for a much discounted $200). Clubs not part of a State Association are still able to get a 10 percent discount on M1s for use within their own ranges.
As for competitions, CMP Affiliated Clubs are eligible to host their own local CMP sanctioned matches – from smallbore rifle to CMP Games rifle and pistol events, highpower and more.
With over 1,400 pistol, rifle, air gun, smallbore and other marksmanship clubs Affiliated with good status and an added 2,700 clubs associated with the program, the CMP’s Affiliated Club network is always looking to expand in the hopes of providing marksmanship and learning opportunities to thousands of enthusiasts across the country.

Barbara,
Are you searching for a senior club near you?
Thanks,

If I join the CMP affiliated Club and pay my $35.00,can I order Pistols and Rifles with out having to pay dues to a CMP Shooting Club if I have my CMP Certification and belong to the NRA.
Jerry,
In order to order from the CMP, you have to be a member of a CMP Affiliated Club or special affiliate. You can find more information on this on our website at https://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/eligibility-requirements/. The GCA is also an option and the fee is $25 per year to join.
Thanks,
Christine
