The Civilian Marksmanship Program is proud to announce an exciting expansion project at Camp Perry—an investment that will elevate the future of marksmanship training, competition, and youth development across the United States.

This expansion represents an exciting milestone for CMP and the broader shooting sports community. More than an investment in facilities, it underscores CMP’s dedication to building a national center of excellence for air rifle, air pistol, smallbore and youth marksmanship development. Once complete, the expanded Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center will provide athletes, coaches, junior programs, NCAA teams and shooting sports organizations with a premier destination for training, competition and athlete advancement—further strengthening Camp Perry’s reputation as one of the nation’s leading hubs for competitive air gun and smallbore shooting.


CMP ANNOUNCES MAJOR EXPANSION PROJECT AT CAMP PERRY

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is excited to announce a major expansion project at Camp Perry that will strengthen the future of marksmanship training, competition and youth development in the United States.

The CMP broke ground on Aug. 3, 2026, with an estimated completion date of December 2027. Once complete, the new facility will build upon the success of the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center by adding:

  • a modern indoor range,
  • expanded retail space,
  • competitor support areas and
  • gathering spaces to serve athletes, coaches, spectators, families, sponsors and visitors.
